and the 1990s.

The given pie graphs illustrate some major sources of energy such as oil,
natural gas, coal, hydro electricity and nuclear power in the Unite State
between 1980 and 1990.
Overall, there were some increases in the percentage of the used coal and
nuclear power while the percentage of hydroelectric energy remained
unchanged and these figures for oil and natural gas followed a downward
trend during the period shown.
It is noticeable that standing at 42% in 1980, the percentage of oil power
in the US then witnessed a significant decline to 33% in 1990. Similarly,
there was a slight decrease in the proportion of used natural gas, from 26%
to 25% through the researched years.
Specially, the rate of the used hydroelectric energy remained unchanged
from 1980 to 1990, at nearly 5%. However, the percentage of nuclear power
in 1990 was twice as much as the figure in the last researched year. In
addition, the rate of coal energy increased by 5% to 27% in 1990.
