Topic 10: Scientists predict in the near future cars will be driven by computers, not human. What are the reasons? Is this a positive or negative development?
Our modern science has a number of remarkable achievements that allows the development of automated cars in the future. Moreover, this advanced technology is driven by the rising demands of our society. In my point of view, this innovation is a two-fold issue.
Firstly, consumers’ desires are the root of the automation. The competitive global market elevates the fast pace of living. When consider means of movement, people always wants to find the most convenient one. That grows their demands for an automated car that meets the requirement of speed, accuracy and safety. Moreover, the existance of automated cars results from years and years of scientific research. Many governmental organisation and companies have coopperated and given a large budget for automatic technology.
There is no doubt that automated cars can bring to consumers the great travelling experiences. Passengers can save time and energy thanks to the accurate calculation of driving system. In terms of safety, the speedy responses of driving system will mininum the possibility of collision. However, nonmanual devices can not be of good quality during the whole time operation. Drivers can be lulled with the feeling of security even when the driving system is out of work. Therefore, if they do not intervene when problems occur, car crash or even fatal accicents might be the consequences.
In conclusion, the popularity of automated cars in the near future is undeniable. People can enjoy the amazing experiences they bring, however, should be careful with the risk they might obtain.
