Percentage of Australian men and women doing regular physical activity: 2010
The bar chart below provides information about the proportion of Australian male and female in the different period of ages who spent time on physical activities in 2010. Overall, the men did more physical activities than the women in all ages. Besides, the men had a growth trend, while the women had an increase trend, conversely.
The women like doing exercises in 15-24 age group is the highest, at 52.8 percent. Meanwhile, the man was the lowest level, about 47 per cent. Then the physical activities of the women decreased gradually next two age groups and was the lowest level, at 39.5 percent in 35 – 44 ages. After that, the figure for women increased steadily in the next period of age group, at 46.7 percent in 65 and over age group.
Meanwhile there was a steady growth of the women. The figure for physical activities of the men rose up gradually from 15 to 24 ages. The percentage of men was about 47.7 percent in 15 – 24 ages group. Then, it experienced a gradual rise in the next two period of ages, nearby 48.9 percent in 25 to 34 age group and approximately 52.5 percent from 35 to 44 year olds. Next, this figure remained the same level during 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 age groups. Finally, its reduced to around 46.7 percent from 65 and over ages.
