Nowadays environmental problems are too big to be managed by individual
persons or individual countries. In other words, it is an international problem. To
what extent do you agree or disagree?It is undoubted that environmental pollution is a major concern in every country around the world. In my opinion, I believe that those problems can only be tackled by both individual person and individual countries and the collective of all nations around the earth.
On the one hand, it is clear that each human being plays an important role to reduce the level of environmental issues. Firstly, growing trees around their houses to absorb greenhouse gases and release oxygen is one of best action which definitely has a big contribution to the environmental protection. Secondly, cutting down the usage of plastic by using recycle bags is also a good habit of individuals. According to National Taiwan University, there was a significant decrease in the percentage of nylon from 70% to 30% between 2010 and 2012 by rising the awareness of citizens about its harmfulness which absolutely addresses environmental issues such as oil pollution or water pollution. As a result, inhabitant is a key role to solve those problems.
On the other hand, there is a strong argument that governments should work together to tackle those issues. First and foremost, it encompasses several areas where individual country’s effort become futile. For instance, ozone hole could not be recovered unless all nations agreed to mitigate CO2 emissions in 2000 in Paris. Furthermore, developed countries should aid the third world to enhance them powering by renewable energy which is very costly. For example, without Japan’s ODA, Vietnam could not build wind farm to generate electricity in some islands instead of using dynamo which dispose a large amount of greenhouse gases.
In conclusion, it seems to me that it is better if all humans, countries cooperate to solve those issues.Thanks for trusting us!
