The line graph predicts information about how many estimated people who will learn three popular languages namely English, Spanish and Mandarin in a 10-year period from 2020 to 2030.
It is clear that the number of students learning those three languages will increase over the period shown. Overall, English learners will comprise the highest figure, comparing to the over two languages.
Predictably, over 500 million people will learn English while just over 200 million and only 100 million people will study Spanish and Mandarin respectively. Until the year 2026, both Spanish and Mandarin will see a noticeable rise in the number of learners to around 350 million. Although the number of English learners will fluctuate during the same period, it will still be the highest with almost million.
In 2030, English is expected to attract most people to learn with approximate 750 million. Mandarin is predicted to reach nearly 600 million learners, passing Spanish to rank the second with a significant growth. On the other hand, Spanish will be the least popular language due to its gradual escalation to 500 million.
