It is true that the world’s natural resouces are extremely exploited for some reasons. This essay will give a look at some causes and put forward some potential solutions.
Firstly, the highly-intensive growth of population on global scale has been correlated with the overuse of resources. People need energy for numerous daily activities such as doing the household chores, lighting schools, working in the hospital, running commercial centers, etc. Secondly, the economic development has led to a great demand for energy. As economies grow, there will be more heavy industries, increased agriculture – mechanisation, chemicals, improved transport – demand for diesel and petrol, etc. Moreover, people in developed countries are likely to have an indomitable desire for entertainment. For instance, nowadays, outspace travelling, which requires for a huge amount of enery, is gaining its popularity. Therefore, the rising needs for energy in provision for such luxurious services are obvious result.
Due to the limitation of our natural resources, we need to figure out some ways to easy the strain on the rising demands. On the one hand, we should develop some alternative resources like wind, solar, tidal power instead of using fossil fuel. These kinds of energy will provide us infite resoures without releasing global warming emissions. On the other hand, we can slow down the development of some heavy industries, which will probably prevent natural resources from over-exploitation.
In conclusion, the natural resources are over-exploited worldwide. Along with economic development, the growth in population also puts a great pressure on natural resources. If we want to conserve them for our next generations, we should develop sustainable energy as well as restrain the use of finite resources.
