Overall, the fast food restaurants in the United State were most frequented on monthly basis as well as once a week whereas there were the least people eating there every day during the given period.
In term of a weekly basis, in 2003, about 14% more clients chose to eat at fast-food restaurant once a week than those going there several times a week. In 2006, the percentage of those customers all hit the peak at 32% and 20% respectively, which was followed by a considerable decrease of around 5% the next 7 years. However, the fast-food restaurants were the least popular in 2006 with the Americans visiting on monthly basis, reaching a low of 25% after soaring to around 33% at the end of the period
In contrast, the figures for people never visiting or visiting daily were the lowest at below 5% and remained constant from 2006 onwards. Likewise, after increasing from about 12% in 2003, there was a period of stability in people eating a few times a year at 15%
