The line graph illustrates the electricity produced by four power sources in France during the period of 32 years from 1980 to 2012.
It is clear that nuclear energy amount was by far the most important resources of electricity generation. Additionally, the figures for renewable stations remained the lowest during the research period.
In 1980, the number of thermal energy source accounted the highest with 120TWh, which was twice higher than that of nuclear and hydroelectric parts (around 60TWh). While electricity production generated by renewables power was stable at negligible amount over the surveyed period, the nuclear factor increased dramatically to a peak of 425TWh in 2005. In the rest of period, it saw just a small drop at 400TWh by 2012.
Five years later, in 1985, the figure for thermal reduced sharply, at 50Twh, after that it stayed at this level in the remaining time of the period. Similarly, the hydroelectric power also saw a stable amount around 75TWh for the whole 32-year survey. A little rising number was shown in renewables part by 2012 under 30TWh.
