The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities.

    ——————————————————————————–

The table illustrates the statics involving the metro systems of different six cities, in terms of when they were opened to public, the lengths they cover and how many travelers to use them annually.
It is clear that Tokyo becomes the most popular site to travel by subways, while London has the longest total distance and existence of metro system.
The underground railway system in London was first opened in 1863, and it was not until 2001 that the equivalent system started to be operated in LA. Throughout the 20[th] century, this transport system was introduced in four remaining cities.
London has the rail route length of 394 kilometers, which is over twice as high as figures applied to any cities, such as Paris, Tokyo and Washington DC. Kyoto and Los Angeles have their short lengths of rail routes compared to all cities above which cover 11 and 28 kilometers respectively.
However, Tokyo by far receives the most passengers to commute by metros, with 1927 million of people. Paris is the second most travelled by this means of transport city, with nearly 1200 million of passengers, while other cities’ figures were under 1000 million each year.
