Besides, travelling by car is always the highest and still remaining high with the great number of rising from 3,199 miles to 4,806 miles per year in the period of 1985-2000. Long distances bus, however made a positive progress raised from 54 average miles to 124.
Over the same period, local bus in England dropped strongly of about 155 miles. Also a transporting way by walking has a little decrease from 255 to 237 in addition with the drop about 10 miles per person per year by mean of bicycle.
