The chart compares the percentage of water consumption in four nations, China, the US, Russia, and Australia in Industrial, Agricultural, Domestic in the year 2010.
Overall, it is clear that Agricultural accounted most of the percentage in China while in the USA and Russia, Industrial consumed most of the water. However, water was mainly used in Domestic in Australia, not in Industrial.
With nearly 90%, China was the nation used most of water for farming or landing, this proportion was twice as much as the US and triple than that in Russia. Under 10% of water was used for the other two categories. In the US, the percentage of using water in Industrial area and in Agricultural area were around 40%, in contrast with nearly 20% in Domestic.
Regarding Russia, Russian people used one third of water for Agricultural and exactly 60% for Industrial whereas this proportion was almost the same for Australia but mainly used in Domestic field. Australian did not use most of their water for producing or making products but spent nearly 35% of their total water consumption for Agricultural.
