More and more people are migrating to cities in search of a better life, but city life can be extremely difficult. Explain some of the difficulties of living in a city. How can government make urban life better for everyone?
In recent year, the migration has never fail to attracts people attention and spark controversy. Some adopt view that the movement to another place from rural to urban areas will make life better. However, to the best of my knowledge the migration will bring some difficulties and need a lot of time to settle down.
Firstly, according to some studies on migration status in Viet Nam, the causes of this migration are many as to seek better economic opportunities. In fact, the need to change habitat is due to natural disasters or changes in living conditions and quality of life. Furthermore, changing customs and climatic conditions leading to drought, land loss … Among them, the reason seeking better economic opportunities is essential. A good typical example is that while only households with 3 or more hectares have the main source of income above the poverty line from growing rice.
Secondly, the city life is very different from the countryside. In particularly, the city has a lot of entertainment venues such as supermarkets, shopping centers, entertainment areas and so on. In the rural areas are lack of enough conditions and hard work, income is low, life is difficult so many people have created their own new life by the city. One typical good instance is in 2014, 73% of migrants moved from one province to another, 47% of them went to large centers such as Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and 10% went abroad.
That is not to said that in the countryside is not good, where they are renovated by industrial parks, commercial centers, schools to develop and draw attention people. Moreover, rural areas are attracting young people to create employment opportunities, housing for development. Phu Quoc Island has attracted a large force of people to create a remarkable resort of the country could be taken at a particularly salient example of this.
In conclusion, the growing of society leads to people also wanting to develop everything from life to condition, we can create a better life in the countryside and face less difficulties than the city.
