TOPIC: Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement.
In constantly developing society, people always have the higher need of traveling so upgrading many kinds of means of transportation is inevitable. Some individuals claim that it is necessary that government should invest on railways rather than roads. Nevertheless, in my opinion, I have no acceptance with that ideal and believe that spending money on roads is more suitable than railroads.
In the modern day, traveling by trains is not popular anymore because people have scares of train accidents so governments should focus on improving roads instead of railways. In addition, citizens have many choices to travel that is more convient and safer such as cars, buses and subways. For example, it is account for 75% civiliants choose cars, motobikes and buses for their voyages in the Korea Travel News. It is obvious that moving by train is cheaper than most of means of transport, however, there are always many accidents on railways that make people have no trust on this transportation. Therefore, the state official should improve roadways in the urban to enhance serviceability for citizens.
There are fewer benifits for countries if government have strong investment on railways. As reasons above, the majority of people have little belief on trains, as a consequence, revenue will decrease sharply and make loss for countries. According to the Time news in Japan, there are up to 40% civiliants claim that having journey on railways is not safe and they have no intent to choose trains for their voyages.
In conclusion, roads is used popular and safer than railways. Therefore, investing on roads will be the suitable and right detemination for governments
