The line graph illustrated the amount of cars that Great Britain households owned in the period of 1971 to 2007.
In 1971, households who didn’t have cars got the majority, approximately 50% of the population. Families who had 1 car are popular, at around 45% in Great Britain at this time. It’s just 8% of citizen who own 2 cars at a house, and rarely at 1% of households who own 3 or more cars.
However, the picture had dramatically changed from 1971 to 2007. The rate of no-car-families dropped down rapidly to just 25% in 2007. On the contrary, the number of households who owned 2 cars had been increasing significantly and reached the rate at 25% at the end of this period. Not so fast as above, wealthier families that were affordable to buy 3 or more cars had been rising steadily from 1 to 6%. There is just a stable rate of people who had 1 car, which fluctuated around 45% from 1971 to 2007.
