Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
It is argued that governmental fund should be used on train lines rather than roads. While I disagree with this viewpoint, I do believe that the state should both invest in railroads and streets.
There are a variety of reasons why people holds a belief that it is more feasible to spend money on tracks. The underlying reason of this belief may be because traveling and transportation done by trains can help reduce traffic jams. Trains manage to carry more people and commodity than cars or trucks and run on their own railways, consequently, they seem to help avoid traffic congestion that is usually caused by vehicles traveling on roads. By dint of trains, not only environmental pollution tend to be reduced but also people’s safety is likely to guaranteed, which seems justifiable to build and upgrade railroads instead of streets.
However, I am inclined to believe that roads worth investing and people should also consider the importace of it. First of all, it is true that roads are more convinient for people to drive around. Most of people around the world use personal vehicles, therefore, spending money on roads seems to be more practical. What is more, tracks cannot be built on some terrains such as mountains, and the only way to connect lands with mountains is roads. What is more, upgrading and widening roads can decline accidents, create space for houses and buildings. On the whole, roads play a role as vital as tracks and shouldn’t be underestimated.
In conclusion, both roads and tracks play an integral part in modern society. The government should split their fund between both of it in order to benefit the community.Attachments:
