Some people say that all young people should have full time education until they are 18 years old. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
It is indisputable that there is an increasing number people are concerned about the valuation of fulfilling high school curriculum. However, whether children should mainly finish the school until 18 years old has caused heated debate. In my opinion, students should focus on completing their education until grades 12.
On the one hand, it is clear that school is society miniature. It means that the school imparts knowledge about practical and professional skills such as teamwork skills, communication and negotiation skills. These skills are theoretical knowledge which is the foundation of any practical skills and indispensable in the real life. Therefore, it is crucial for students to learn until 12 grades helping foster in the young the morally sound values and out look on the world and life.
On the other hand, the children under 18 are also commonly too naïve to stand on their own foot to make living or support others. Precisely, they always assess the situations extremely simply and make the decisions hurriedly because of their understanding being in educating process. Moreover, unless they go to school until 18 years old, they usually entangle in social evils including opium, drugs and even robbery. This phenomenon triggers to the detrimental impact to their family and society not only in materials but spiritual as well.
In conclusion, the major function of school is that prepare useful theories and skills for students to apply to the next stages of our life, so the incentive for children to go to school till 18 years old is tremendous necessary. By doing so, we can sure that students are equipped with enough knowledge to ready face the obstacles ahead.
