The chart below compares levels of recycling, as well as some less environmentally friendly forms of waste management, in fifteen European countries.

The bar chart show the proportion of waste is recycled, put into landfill, incinerated and other methods in fifteen European nations.
If we look at the chart as a whole, it is clear that the largest percentage of waste is buried, compared to any waste processing program. In fact, most of Europe countries put their waste production into landfill, only two nations recycle at above 50 percentage of their volume of waste.
Belgium and Austria countries were noticeable which recycled 55% and 65% while put into landfill around 23% and incinerated 32% and 9% the amount of waste production respectively. Other countries include Germany, Sweden and Netherlands also have effective recycling management occupied in roughly 40 % of volume of their waste.
The rest of nations recycled far less. For instance Greece, Ireland, the UK only process around 10 of waste by recycling method and put around 80 – 90 % their waste output to landfill. One notice that four countries namely Denmart, Netherland, Sweeden, Luxembourg incinerated their waste more than bury.
