The diagram below shows the number of houses built per year in two cities Derby and Nottingham between 2000 and 2009.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The chart show the number of houses built in two cities Derby and Nottingham in a period of nine years from 2000 to 2009.
Overall, the number of houses in Derby fluctuated in nine years and got the highest in 2009 (almost 350 houses). Nottingham vacillated in nine years and got the lowest 2006 (about 5 houses).
From 2000 to 2002, the number of houses in Derby was around 40 to 80 houses. Over the next 4 years( from 2003 to 2007), the number of houses in Derby remained constant at 120 houses. In the last two years (2008 and 2009) the number of houses perspected to 280 and then to 350 houses.
Houses building in Nottingham was much more erratic. In the first two years, more houses were erected in Nottingham than in Derby. However, in 2002, the number of houses in Nottingham declined to only 20 houses. Over the next three years, houses numbers increased slightly, and dropped dramatically to 5 houses in 2006. And then shot up with over 200 houses in 2007. While in 2008 the numbers of houses in Nottingham plummed to only 10, in 2009 the number of houses rocketed to 270.
