Modern forms of communication such as email and messaging have reduced the amount of time people spend seeing their friends. This has had a negative effect on their social lives.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, with the development of technology, we can use electric email or message apps to communicate, to talk to each other from a far distance. But some people this has made a reduction in spending our time with our friends. However, it is not so certain that this has negative affect our social lives.
In the past, people wrote letters to each other when they had any problems to disscuss with their friends. If they lived near their friends, they just went to their friend’s house to met them. Althought this way took long time or long distance for people to saw their friends but they could face to face the others and easily expressed their feelings to their friends, in order to made their social relationship became more abundant. Today, email and texting apps make it easier for us to communicate people, talk to anyone in anywhere from all over the world. That’s one of the reasons why people don’t see their friends so much.
But for some people who have to move around frequently, they see these forms communication are very useful. They can disscuss, talk about business to their clients in order to achieve Contract Agreement between two sides. On the other hand, they can also update the background of their business to know whether it has been done or not. In spite of it’s benefits for some people’s job, we can’t deny that today young people don’t talk much to their friends or their family members like the past. People always look at their phone, spending very little time to communicate and to talk. People these days don’t express their feelings like they did in the past, and according to some pessimist, the world will gradually become emotionless.
In conclusion, I think modern forms of communication have both advantage and disadvantage, it depends on how we use them, what our purposes are and the frequence of using them. We should balance between the virtual world and the real world, so that we can have a wholesome life. ( 341 words )
