Some people believe that anyone can create art such as painting, poetry,
music and so on. Others think that a person should have special abilities
to create art. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is commonly believed that art can be exceptionally produced by
almost all people with innate talents. While this is valid to a certain
extent, I believe that they also need particular knowledge and skills in
their own fields in order to become artists.
On the one hand, imagination plays a key role in creating art. People who
are born with fertile imagination can undoubtedly make a beautiful painting
or compose several songs and poems. The sense of art inside their body can
probably nurture their talents. It is irrefutable that some artists who
have to live with disadvantaged family background can still become well-
known figures. Elvis Presley, who is an internationally acclaimed composer,
perfectly exemplifies this common notion of people. His family was
penniless during his childhood, however, he had overcome and become the
King of Rock and Roll with thousands of admirers.
On the other hand, I am of the opinion that without hard work and
practice, a person cannot produce a masterpiece. In order to become a
professional artist, a person has to undergo rigorous training to broaden
their knowledge in certain fields related to their work. For example,
creating a painting requires people a lot of skills such as how to balance
brightness and contrast or choose colors. Moreover, an artist definitely
needs to put every effort to their art work. They always have to rewrite,
redraw their work numerous times before finally finishing it. For instance,
Paulo Coelho, before becoming a bestseller author with The Alchemist, had
to spend years learning and working after the fact that his books were
refused by many publishers.
In conclusion, although born talents or inherited genes greatly contribute
to the one’s ability to create a piece of art, in order to become
professionally, people also need to devote themselves to learning and
training.
