Given are past and future figures concerning the American’s purchase of power during a half century.
Overall, it is evident that petrol and oil have been most common over the period, whereas both the number of coal and natural gas followed similar upward trends. The data also indicate that the figures for alternative sources were highly comparable during this time.
Standing at 35 quadrillion units in 1980, the amount of petrol and oil experience a fair growth to 50 in 2030. Meanwhile, there is a 5 unit increase in the quantity of natural gas from 1980, which stood at around 25 units in 2015. During a 15 last year of the period recorded a stability in this figure, which project to end up at more than 25 in 2030.
Similarity, accounting for more than 15 quadrillion units, the amount of coal seen a significant rise of 15 after fifty years. In contrast, making up less than 5, the number of nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower follow similar upward trends.
