The pie charts below compare water usage in San Diego, California and the rest of the world.

The given charts illustrate information on the amount of water used in two different cities of America, namely San Diego County and California and in the whole world.

Overall, it is apparent that in two cities of America, residential activities took the lead in the usage of water while this figure for the whole world was the smallest. By contrast, agriculture was the activity which utilized the largest amount of water in the rest of the world.

Looking at the details, San Diego and California shared the biggest amount of water used in household activities which was 60% and 39%, respectively. In San Diego, the volume of water used for industry was the next position which accounted for 23%, followed by those of agriculture, at 17%
In California, it is noticeable that industry activities were the second most water usage which made up 33%, was just slightly less than home activities. Subsequently, the figure for agriculture was the least, which was occupied 28%.

In the remaining part of the world, by far the most quantity of water consumption was agriculture, which represented 69%. This was followed by industry areas and residential areas shared the smallest part, which was only 8%.
