Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
TASK 2
Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement
Answer:Nowadays, the transportation in the city is a big issue for the government to build up the infrastructure for economy development. So there is an argument that the government should focus on railways rather than roads. In my opinion, I totally agree with that idea.
Firstly, transporting by railway is safer than roads. Every year the traffic accident of train is significantly lower than road’s one. There is only about two or three cases while it is thousands of road accident each year. And the people are dead according to road transportation are also higher. As the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, there are around fifteen thousand people died because of road accident, whereas it is only around one or two hundred dead man according to railway accident.
Secondly, railway system will prevent personal transports and reduce the traffic jam what is the serious issue in big city. Each day there are millions of personal transport including cars, motorbike, bicycle travel on the road, so it is leading to serious traffic jam. And it take the people more time to go to the destinations that they want. By contrast, railway system is faster and make them spend less time in travelling. When most of people travel by train, the pressure of road transportation will be declined. So that the traffic jam as well as personal transportation will be decreased.
In conclusion, the development of railway system is the modern trend on the world. And most of developed countries has constructed the railway instead of the road in their big cities. So if the government would like to have a modernize economy, it has to have a good railway system.Attachments:
