Writing, reading and maths are the three recognized tradition subjects. Computer skill should also be the fourth largest branch. Do you agree or disagree?
In the high times of modernization, information technology is an indispensible element in the life as it revolutionizes the way we live. Therefore, it is supposed that computer skill be the fourth recognized one in addition to writing, reading and maths. In my opinion, I am in favour of this viewpoint given.
From educational perspective, if the teachers know how to use some softwares such as Powerpoint, their lecture will be significantly appealing. Almost students are interested in studying through images and Powerpoint allows teachers to create a wide range of colorful images. For example, using powerpoint at school would stimulate the creativity and critical thinking of students. Furthermore, according to research, students tend to bear in mind images very fast, which leads to increase studying efficiency. More importantly, when the students have to sit an exam, there is no need to spend much time on learning for the test.
In addition, computer skill plays a crucial role at the workplace. Firstly, a wealth of enterprises nowadays prefer working on the computers rather than working in the traditional way. For instance, numerous multinational corporations deal with urgent problems through video conferencing because they have to make a quick decision in the limited time. Therefore, computer skill assists the leaders to cope with unpredictable issues effectively. Secondly, many enterprises do not spend a huge amount of money paying for many employees as almost working are dealt with by few individuals being familiar with computer skill. Hence, the bosses could maximize profits.
In conclusion, computer skill brings about various benefits, especially in the field of education as teachers are able to attract their students with precious lessons. Also, at the workplace, the bosses can decrease the payment for a great number of employees.
