Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Some teachers say students should be organised into groups to study, while others argue that students should be made to study alone.
Discuss both views and give your opinion?
There is an argue students should be operated into groups to study or they should learn alone. While there are some benefits of studying alone, I would argue that it is better for students to attend groups to study.
On the one hand, studying alone offers several advantages to students. First, since students have to handle problems and answer questions by themselves when learning alone, they are not reliant on other people, which increases their independence. For example, learner individuals can pace their learning and decide for themselves when to start and when to stop, enhancing the responsibility for their learning. Second, in order to concentrate well and make an efficient use of students’ time, studying alone might allow learners to avoid being distracted by unnecessary interruptions and conversations with other people. For instance, I usually study in my university library which is very quiet, and I can learn faster and more effectively, which saves an amount of my time.
On the other hand, I believe group study exerts more positive aspects in some ways. Firstly, as each student has different abilities and knowledge, group members can advocate one another to improve their weaknesses. For example, when learning Math in a group, I can help my friends find out mistakes. Therefore, my friends can avoid the same problems in the future, which positive affects their academic performances. In addition, since group members have to discuss and solve problems together, their communication skills and critical thinking abilities are greatly improved. In fact, because studying in group requires students to interact constantly and share ideas, students have to listen to what their fellow students say and debate with them if there is a disagreement.
In conclusion, while studying alone is benifical for students to some extent, I believe studying into groups is a better option.
