What do you think? What qualities do you think a successfuljournalist should have?

Nowadays, public trust in journalists declines considerably. In my opinion, I agree that reporters have been no longer trustworthy so that readers cannot completely believe in them. Besides that, journalism is a competitive field. Hence, to become an outstanding journalist, the applicants must meet specific standards.
There are some understandable reasons why society is losing their trusts in journalism. To begin with, because every almost journalist wants to draw considerable attention of the public, reporters usually distort the reality to produce sensational news. For instance, some media sites explained the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 as an alien abduction without any provided scientific evidence. As a consequence, inaccurate information leads to serious misunderstanding among public acknowledgment. Additionally, all reports related to political issues will be under governmental control. This means the authorities are likely to ban articles that are against the domestic policies while citizens are not satisfied with these reforms. Once journalists cannot speak the fact on behalf of the public, readers might feel disappointed and gradually lose trust in journalism.
On the other hand, in this information era, an outstanding reporter should have various qualities. Because all journalists have to access a huge amount of information from numerous sources before writing an article, having a good data-processing skill will help reporters to gather all information together then construct an understandable news story. Furthermore, boldness is a must to become a journalist as he is responsible for providing the public with objective reports while there must be deadly barriers waiting for him to overcome to seek for the truth. For example, lots of journalists is killed in Afghanistan when reporting about the war.
In a nutshell, people have reasons to suspect the credibility of a journalist. Moreover, an outstanding journalist should have certain qualities to do a top-notch job,
