Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
In the developed world, average life expectancy is increasing. What problems will this cause for individuals and society? Suggest some measures that could be taken to reduce the impacts of ageing populations.
In recent years, there has been a growing number of older people. This is attributable to several effects on individuals and society, and can be addressed by some solutions.
To begin with, a variety of affects might be caused by the aging population development. First, since more people of retirement age will be eligible to receive a pension, governments also have to spend much money on pension scheme for senior people. This would lead to a lack of state budget for other essential fields such as education or public transit systems. Second, due to the aging population growth, the proportion of young working people who have to work to support older ones declines. This would have a wide rage of negative impacts on not only the burden on young generations but also the productivity in the workforce.
However, there are also a number of solutions to alleviate this issue. The first solution is that there would be to climb the retirement age for working adults. This would reduce pension and allow old people to contribute more to society. In addition, by facilitating immigration of working population, the quality of workforce will be enhanced. As a result, the government is more likely to receive more taxes in order to pave the way for social welfare such as health systems or social benefits for their old citizens, which helps cut down the pressure of young people who have to work to take care of older individuals.
In conclusion, there are some impacts of the aging population development on individuals and society, and several solutions should be produced to minimize the issue.Attachments:
