Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
It is now possible for scientists and tourists to travel to remote natural environment, such as south pole. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages
Over the past few decades, industrialization and modernization have been foster in leaps and bounds. For this reason, human beings can explore once unreachable places of our planet. In my opinion, everything has double-edged impacts and this phenomenon’s merits outstrip its demerits.
On the one hand, it is pivotal to recognize that remote trips always bring a multitude of benefits for individuals and society. Firstly, oversea travelling, especially remote areas, is a good chance for people to broaden their horizons. Tourists can witness mysteries from those exotic lands, which is an excellent stepping-stone for nurturing future scientists. Besides, they also have an opportunity to experience a feeling of explorers. Secondly, this kind of travel can contribute to the development of man kind. As a typical example, Columbus discovered the Central and South America in 1492, which was a wonderful achievement of the world’s history. Another civilization like America is possibly found through such voyages thanks to this trend.
On the other hand, these tours may trigger some problems that need our thorough consideration. In some recent reports, tourism has been one of the main culprits of environmental pollution. Excessive emissions from transport of such trips are significantly undermining the habitat. More seriously, remote travelling usually requires complex transportation and infrastructure such as rockets, satellites or submarines, which consume a larger amount of fuel than ordinary ones. Not only do these modes of transport aggravate environmental deterioration, but they also squander national budget for research and development. Therefore, it is not plausible and affordable for underdeveloped countries to enjoy those extravagant tours.
In conclusion, notwithstanding some negative impacts, I believe travelling to strange regions can provide priceless lessons for tourists and communities.Attachments:
