Each year, the crime rate increases. What are the causes of crime and what could be done to prevent this rise in criminal activity?
In recent decades, the levels of crime have been becoming increasing all around the world due to less awareness of many citizens. Although there are many effects, which lead to the serious civilized problem, government and individuals can work together to reduce this phenomenon.
There are many reasons that result the growth of the crime rate. First, many citizens, especially children, are influenced by some bad people such as thieves and murders due to living in the complicated area having social evils widely. For example, if children live in the better environment where there are friendly neighbors, safety as well without negative impacts, probably they will not be exposed to any criminal issues, which minimize the crime rate in society. Furthermore, the prevalent cause of this problem is the family situation such as illiteracy of family members, dysfunctional family or low-income families. For instance, since their demand is not met efficiently, while the social life has developed that lead to unemployment in these households and plus the low-education, they have to rob or steal to make their living.
In order to reduce the crime rate, government and individuals themselves must introduce many policies to prevent this rise. Parents should focus more on educating and taking care of their children. Therefore, children can experience good living conditions while young, which will generate positive attitudes and habits for them. The improved quality of life also will reduce the number of criminals. In fact, the fortune makes people have to think more about what they need and how they get it, which leads to the problem that those can do the action without formal careers and embark on the life of crime.
In conclusion, in order to maintain the social stability, there are not only the management seriously from local government bodies, but also raising the awareness of each individual.
