Some people think that it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like football. While other people think that taking part in individual sports is better, like tennis or swimming. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
The question of whether or not people should play sport in team such as football or individual ones is a controversial issue. Many people suppose that team sport is highly beneficial to players while the others strongly believe that individual sport is more advantageous to participants. In my opinion, team sport is better than individual ones.
On the one hand, playing in team brings about various benefits. Firstly, it helps one improve a wide range of necessary skills such as problem-solving or teamwork skill. For example, in a football match, all players are requested to cooperate with each other to score the goal. In some emergency situations, players themselves are likely to make a decision immediately. This demands them accuracy in every moment. Secondly, in terms of students, if they get used to partnership between teammates, they will be familiar with studying methods in higher education where most students have their own groups to handle the tasks.
On the other hand, individual sports tend to focus on the independence. This means that the participants must rely on themselves to overcome serious obstacles. This makes a negative influence on those joining such type of sport when their future job requires collaboration between colleagues. In fact, working with others working with others can more effectively assure the productivity, so it is preferred in the workplace. However, this skill is not developed if people only participate in individual sport.” For instance, in a project, all members will have a thorough discussion to produce the best plan, from which gains objective of the company as soon as possible. In addition, this is more able to contribute to decrease significant risks.
In conclusion, working in a team is more able to execute the tasks better than one individual. Therefore, it is vitally crucial for everybody to devote their time to playing sport in team.
