It is difficult for people in the cities to get enough physical exercise. What are the causes and solutions?
Being able to get sufficient exercise seem to be hard for people living in urban regions. There are many factors that attribute to this problems and many solutions can be proposed to promote physical exercise among city residents.
Two main reasons are to blame for this trend. Firstly, everyone is busy with their own schedule that they do not even have time to spend on activities that are good for their health. For example, while adults want to pursue success by working hard and focusing all of their heart and mind on their jobs, children are occupied with their study from schools and extra classes. Secondly, big cities always invest money on infrastructure and ignore the work of building fresh, comfortable zones for city citizens to come and relax. As there are few parks, if people wants to go to the parks, they have to go really far from their houses, therefore, people would rather stay at home.
This problem is not unsolvable, it can be eliminated by several ways. First, companies can shorten the working hours to allow their employers to have more spare time to do physical exercises. For children, schools can come up with more activities that can do during break time or add more physical lessons in children schedule. Second, government should invest money in building parks to provide places for their citizens. Local authorities can raise people sport spirit by organizing free aerobic or yoga classes in the park in the morning or evening.
In conclusion, physical exercises play an important role in our life and as the trend of people doing regular exercises is decreasing, we need the help from schools and government to deal with this situation.
