The bar chart compares information about the percentage of male and female living alone and the pie chart illustrates the number of bedrooms in single person families in the year 2011 in England.
Overall, English females lived alone more than males when they got older and a great number of one-person households owned 2 bedrooms.
As can be seen from the bar chart, more than 50% of male aged 16 to 24 living alone. This figure increased gradually until the age of 35 to 49, reaching the peak of around 65% of men. By contrast, the percentage of female being single declined from 47% at the age of 16 to 24 to 35% at the age of 35 to 49. At the age of 50-64, there were an equal rate among genders being not married. However, when people were older, the number of single men started going down significantly, compared to a rapid increase was seen in women by 75 % at the age of 85 and other.
Looking more closely at the pie chart, minority of single people owned more than 4 bedrooms with 6.7%. There was an nearly equal number of people who possessed 3 bedrooms and 1 bedrooms while the proportion of 2 bedrooms owners was highest at 35,4%.Attachments:
