Overall, the graph indicates that while the unemployment rate in Germany rose throughout 14 years, the two other countries witnessed a downward trend in the same period. The table shows that the percentage of men working was higher than women in all three countries.
It can be seen that initially, in 1991, with the figure of 13%, the unemployment rate in Spain was the highest among three nations. Only two years later, the rate increased markedly to 18%. However, since then, it dropped substantially to 9% in 2005. Similarly, Italy’s unemployment rate fluctuated slightly during 14-year period, starting and finishing at the same percentage of 8%. In contrast, having the lowest proportion of unemployment in 1991, the rate then rose steadily to approximately 12% in 2005.
In term of employment rate, over half of German women had a job while that figure of man was more than three quarters. Italy also had a really high rate of males working, 77,1% which was the highest figure of the table, however, the employment rate of women in that country was relatively low. Both males and females in Spain had lower rate of employment compared with two other countries.Attachments:
