At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

For the last few decades, the global population has been booming. In various nations, the number of young people is far higher than the number of the elderly. While there are some drawbacks of a young population, I completely believe that those countries are gaining much more benefits.
On the one hand, the downside of that phenomenon is high crime rates. Additionally, young people who are not well educated have a tendency to commit crimes such as robbery, car theft and so forth. It might lead to some burden to the society especially in urban areas where the youth are drawn to find works. If the job market is not able to supply enough works, unemployment will become a pressing issue to not only the young people, but also the local authorities. Also, it in turn may not keep the population well-being and may affect adversely on next generations.
On the other hand, it is a host of advantages of the outnumbered young adults. Firstly, it is a healthy population which is advantageous to medical services because the older we are, the more health problems we have. Secondly, as the number of older people is kept low, the pension budget might not be an issue. Finally, it is said that a young population is ideal with the strongest workforce who can create the highest value in any society. It in turn help develop a wealthy country.
In conclusion, whilst there are some disadvantages, it is still beneficial with a young population.
