Task1: The graph below shows the contribution of three sectors agriculture, manufacturing, and business and financial services- to the UK economy in the twentieth century. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graph provides information about the contribution of several sectors – agriculture, manufacturing, and business and financial services- to the UK economy in four differents years during the twentieth century.
Generally, the percentages of contribution of agriculture and manufacturing decreased noticeably from 1900 to 2000, while that of business and financial services increased steadily over the period given.
As can be seen from the graph, there was a slight rise in the contribution of agriculture , standing at just above 50% in 1950 (after 50 years from 1900), then agriculture contribution plummeted to around 10% (1975), and continued decreasing to just about 2%, standing the lowest of all in 2000. Similarly, the percentage of manufacturing had decreased slightly from around 45% in 1900 to just about 35% in 1975 before continued falling noticeably in 2000.
However, the contribution of business and fanancial rose significantly from just below 5% to around 35% in 1900 and 2000 respectively. In 2000, the percentage of business and fanancial service stood at highest of all.
In summary, agriculture and manufacturing decreased noticeably while business and financial became more and more important during this period of time.
