Some argue that people tend to use free of charge medical care excessively, while others think that people do not overuse this free service. This essay believes that although some people take advantages of free health care service, it is not used too much by citizens because they prefer to have a better service.
On the one hand, it is argued that medical care is likely to be overused for personal purposes. In fact, when no money is needed to spend when going to hospitals, people tend to go there continuously and will find ways to gain benefits from this free service. For example, Tuoi Tre Newspaper has just recently reported that last year, in Vietnam, there were a number of cases detected that people with free social medical insurance bought by their companies just went to the clinics and took free medicines to sell to the society.
On the other hand, numerous people do not actually use the health care service since it is typically considered very basic quality and does not satisfy their needs. As a result, several patients are willing to pay more to receive more luxurious and convenient service. To illustrate, in under-developed countries, because of an excessive number of patients, in order to use the free health care service, people usually have to wait for a long queue in the hospitals until it is their turn to see the doctors. This leads to negative feelings about the service and disappoints them to use it.
In conclusion, when medical care costs no money, some people may use on purpose. However, I believe that it is not a reason for most people to visit hospitals regularly.Attachments:
