The table below shows how young people in Tokyo and Japan listened to music over the previous month. The pie chart shows a record company’s international findings of whether people preferred live or recorded music.
The table provides information about the percentage of both young boys and girls who listened to music in the last month in Tokyo and Japan, while the pie chart illustrates the proportion of the preferences such as live and recorded music.
Generally, males were more interested in music than female counterparts except for listening to CDs, and live music was more preferred than recorded music in the capital of Japan.
As can be seen from the table, among the males about 60% listened to live music compared to 44% in females. Like live music, males also were more interested in Mp3-players with 79% of them listening to music via, while for females the proportion was 40%. Besides that, the internet was preferred almost similarly with 55% in males and 42% in females. However, CDs showed a shark contrast, with a higher percentage of female listening to music than males, 19% and 22%, respectively.
As the pie chart shows, 70% of young Japanese people prefer live music, whereas recorded music rate was 26% and those who answered Don’t know their rate was just 4%.Attachments:
