The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.

The pie charts illustrate the primary motives for studying of learners from distinct age groups and the amount of support given to them from their companies.
Overall, it is clear that the younger studies mainly to stimulate their careers while the older enter education, for the most part, due to their own interest. In addition, the older groups receive less support from their employers than the younger.
Firstly, 80% of students aged 26 and under attend schools for career reasons, compared to only 10% for interest. However, the figure for career falls gradually when the age groups increase and reaches just under 20% in the cohort aged over 49. By contrast, the proportion of people studying because of their interest is only 10% for the group under 26, but dramatically rises to 70% in group over 49. Particularly, the percentages of the two reasons are evenly distributed in the group 40-49 at under 40%.
Looking more closely at employer support in forms of time off and financial aids, the proportion shrinks from over 60% to roughly 35% for the first three age groups, yet slightly grows to approximately 45% in the oldest group.
