The costs of medical health care are increasing all the time. Governments are finding it difficult to balance the health care budget. Should citizens be totally responsible for their own health costs and take out private health insurance, or is it better to have a comprehensive health care system which provides free health services for all?

In recent years, the expenses of medical health care witness a gradual growth during the period. The government are trouble in the health care balanced budget. It is argued that the government should offer a better health care system for people, rather than individuals take responsibility for their health budgets and private health insurance has sparked a controversy. This tendency has certainly both merits and demerits, which will be discussed in this essay.
On the one hand, there are some certain benefits when the health care system is funded totally by the government. Firstly, health services must undoubtedly be available to all because the citizens pay taxes for the government. Secondly, the government should help and support healthcare for all citizens, or treat people regardless of their ability to pay. For example, people who are suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart attack, anemia, etc. These diseases take them for a long time to cure. Beside that the impoverished people are not likely to enough money to pay for their expense. Therefore, the government should support citizens to boost their lives, make its prosperous.
On the other hand, it is better when people pay for their own health costs and take out private hospitals in many cases. Firstly, waiting lists in the public service can be long and service is occasionally slow. Therefore, some purchase private medical insurance for a faster service, especially in urgent cases of their illness. These also reduce the workload of the public sector. Secondly, paying health costs is also considered as a budget that helps the government invest more in medical facilities and infrastructure.
In conclusion, citizens should be happy to share the burden of the government in medical sectors by paying money for their health costs. They also have right and choices to take out of private insurances for their priority and preference
