The six pie charts compare the proportion of three separated aims of using water between six continents in the world.
Overall, the usage of water for agriculture purpose accounts for the largest figure throughout the charts. However, industry on North America and Europe experiences the greatest consumption of water.
As in observed, Central Asia consumes the most water for cultivation, which is 88%, while water used in industry and domestic are trivial, at 5% and 7%, respectively. In the same trend, Africa and South East Asia utilizes 84% and 81% of water for planting. Besides, South East Asia’s water usage in terms of industrial purpose is nearly twice as much as Africa’s, while Africa uses more water for household function more than South East Asia.
Over the same categories, 71% of South America’s water consumption is the highest figure compared to North America’s and Europe’s. By contrast, these two regions use much more water for industrial category than South America, which are 48% and 53% each. Nevertheless, three continents, South – North America and Europe, witness a similar percentage of water used for domestic duty, at 19%, 13% and 15%, respectively.
