Some people believe that we have too many choices these days. To what extent to you agree or disagree?
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In this era of industrialization and economic progress, which are top-priorities of many countries in the world. Many of them develop prosperously, yet others do not. As a result, there is a controversy whether people these days have abundant of choices or not. In my opinion, I support both views as each has its own reasons.
To begin with, it is undeniable that as the economy develops flourishingly as well as the standard of living is better, they create more facilities to provide high demand of the citizen. First, there has been more available infrastructures such as schools, universities, hospitals and amusement parks, which guarantee a convenient life for a country. For instance, when people get sick, they could choose one of various hospitals in the city to have a checkup instead of waiting for long time at the only hospital in town like before. Moreover, children and parents have a variety of school options with different qualities and fees, they could even study at an international school with identical quality in their country instead of studying abroad. Second, as the result of industrialization and culture-exchange, they create more jobs, thereby young people could pursue the most suitable career for themselves. This definitely help a country witnesses a well-rounded development.
On the other hand, not all people in the world are in the same condition and they do not have many choices like others. Especially minorities in rural areas and underdeveloped countries, they are not provided even the basic needs like food or water. To be clear-cut, according to a research of WHO, 45% of world population do not have clean water to use, and 35% have to live in substandard life. Furthermore, job market in hustle cities is extremely competitive, thus certain job and education are limited.
By way of conclusion, I believe that people have more choices to make decision than they had before. However, many of them do not have equitable approach to all types of advantages of technology or even human rights.
