The graph below shows the rate of smoking per 1000 people in Someland from 1960 to 2000.

The graph illustrates changes in the rate of smoking per 1000 people in Someland over a period of 40 years.
Overall, there was a general decline of smokers throughout the period surveyed. In particular, the ratio of men smokers showed a significant downward trend while a reverse pattern was seen to that of women.
In 1960, around 100% of women consumed tobacco, which was 500% lower than that of men. 15 years later, the rate of women smokers increased considerably at 300%, while man showed a downtrend at 500%.
In the 1975-2000 period, both men and women decreased sharply. Men gained over 300%, which was slightly higher than that of women in 2000.
