      The graph shows the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria between 1995 and 2005.

      The diagram compares how much money was spent on books in different regions over the period 1995 to 2005.
      Overall, it is clear that there was an upward trend for the amount of money in surveyed countries. Especially, Germany always remained the highest level in comparison with its counterparts.
      In 1995, Germany had a preference for the amount of money allocated for books, reached the peak of 90 million dollars in 1999. Money expenditure of French people was 55 million dollars, followed by, which was 25 million less than the former, represented 80%. Additionally, Austria stood at the lowest position, made up 30%.
      Over the next 6 years,the amount of money of France and Austria was around 10% much more than the original position, recording 70% and 40% respectively. Meanwhile, Italy fluctuated and Germany fell slightly in the 1999-2001 period.
      Especially, 2003 witnessed the soar of Austria which surpassed Italy. In addition, The amount of books spent on books in Austria and Italy came to the third and fourth with 71% and 61% respectively.
