The graph below shows the population change between 1940 and 2000 in three different counties in the U.S. state of Oregon.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph compares the change in population of three different counties in the period of 1940 to 2000. Each unit is measured in thousands.
Overall, there was an upward trend. Especially, the population of Washington had a significant increase and held the first rank from 1940 to 2000.
It can be obviously that in 1940-2000, there was no remarkable fluctuation. The population of Columbia and Yamhill had the same increase from 25 to 75 and 30 to 85 respectively. Meanwhile, Washington people grew sharply, especially the considerable develop from 120 to 250 between 1970 and 2000.
Besides, regard the line graph, in 1940, there was a slight different between Washington people and its counterparts, with approximately 50 people. However, in 1970, this number continued growing by 80. Finally, in 2000, there was a sharp difference between Washington and Yamhill, Columbia `s population. This figure reached the peak of 170 in 2000.
