The pie charts below show the average household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia in the year
The chart compares the proportion of money spent on household by Japanese and Malaysian.
It is clear that money is spent least on healthcare in both countries whereas the top priority in Malaysia is housing and other goods and services in Japan.
Looking at the graph in more detail, most of the expenditures in Malaysia is spent on housing, comprising 34 percent of the total expenditure in comparison to Japan, which accounts for 21 percent. 27 percent of the expenditures are spent on food by Malaysian while only 24% Japanese are willing to pay for food. Money spent on other goods and services amounts to 26 percent in Malaysia whereas other goods and services are the major expenditure in Japan. Health care in both countries are seemingly the least priority, with 6 perecent in Japan and 3 percent in Malaysia.
