It is true that the disparity between the wealthy and the poor is dramatically increasing. This issue leads to some serve consequences, and practical interventions could be involved to improve this situation.
There are some negative effects caused by the huge income gap between the rich and the poor. One obvious downside is the educational inequality, which may lead to the deficiency of intellectual citizens for the following generation. This is because low-paid workers find it challenging to afford tuition fees for their children, thus beloved sons or daughters of those families tend to leave schools to earn for a living at a very young age. Additionally, this imbalance is a root of social evils such as crimes or burglars. It is undeniable that when people’s payroll do not meet their daily expense, they are inclined to commit crime to fulfill their basic needs.
However, feasible measurements could be used to tackle this problem. First and foremost, governments should put regulation of no school fees in action. This policy will surely provide equal learning opportunities for children regardless of their parents’ income levels; therefore pupils from all social classes have the equality in obtaining knowledge for a good job in future. Moreover, what governments should do is to create job opportunities for local citizens, who are under no employment to avoid inappropriate actions like burgling or stealing. This can be done by encouraging companies in the region to put priority for local applicants, thereby reducing potential crimes.
In conclusion, unequal income levels may cause some social problems, and this phenomenon can be tackled by some practical involvement.
