Topic: The world has seen an enormous increase in flights for leisure, business and commercial purposes around the world over recent years.
What do you think are the main advantages and disadvantages of such flights?
Do you think flights should be taxed more?

In recent decades, there is a huge growth in travelling by plane in terms of entertainment and commerce worldwide due to a wide range of benefits. However, such kind of transport brings a few drawbacks besides its profits, and in my opinion, the government should not tax the flights more.
On the one hand, there are two main advantages of travelling by air. Firstly, because of flying speed is very fast, so the plane is the ideal means of transport to travel long distances. Moreover, the passengers are provided good services about food, drink or sitting comfortably in an armchair to read magazines. The flights also offer us a chance to admire the beauty of clouds or sunrise, sunset which makes us relaxing.
On the other hand, apart from the benefits, the flights have their advantages, too. First of all, in recent years, more and more flying accidents happened all over the world. Therefore, some passengers are suspicious of the safety air travel. In addition, the cost of tickets is pricey, and some people are not able to afford to take a plane trip.
In my own state, taxing more air travel by the authority is not a suitable approach. The first reason for my statement is that the advantages will outweigh the disadvantages of the flights. Secondly, travelling by air will boost the economy because of the developing number of people using air services. Therefore, if the government taxes this kind of transport more, the figure for passengers will decline significantly which affects badly on the country’s improvement.
In conclusion, the flights not only bring merits but also demerits. In addition, I am personally in favour of not taxing the air travelling more.
