Task 2
All education, primary, secondary and further education, should be free to all people and paid for by the government.
——————————————————————————–
Do you agree or disagree with this statement?Education plays an integral part in any society. Investing in education is an investment for the future of the country. While I agree that the three required levels of education such as primary, secondary and high school should be free of charges to all pupils, I do believe that sources of earnings from tuition fees for further education should definitely help universities to maintain their education quality.
On the one hand, there are a number of reasons why the government should pay for compulsory education levels. Firstly, it is obvious that in any country whether it is a developing or developed one, there is a standard requirement that any child must be educated for at least three levels from primary to high school. The education programs built for those educating levels enable students to gain very basic knowledge, living skills and healthy physics that benefits them when they become adults. Therefore if schools charge parents fees of studying, it will be a drawback for children whose parents cannot afford and they will be isolated from the society. Secondly, people who can earn a living normally contribute enormously to government budget by paying personal income tax. The government should use partially this source of income to fund education fees. As a result, citizens are motivated to work harder to have more valuable contribution to government fund.
On the other hand, government is not able to fund all levels of education because the higher education at universities requires a lot of investment to fulfill students’ objectives. In addition, at the stage when students graduate from high school, it is their own choice and decision to continue with higher education for certain major subject. Hence they need to pay for it. This source of fees are very crucial for any education organization not only to develop a comprehensive education program but also to build modern facilities so that students can have the best studying environment which is very beneficial to their future of finding potential high pay jobs.
In conclusion, the government should pay for school fees at compulsory levels of education from a source of tax income paid by residents. For further education, students should pay for the tuition fees which is a main flow of income for universities to invest and maintain the best education programs.Attachments:
