The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who
visited four different attractions in Brighton.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and
make comparisons where relevant.

The graph illustrates data on the proportion of visitors who came to four
Brighton’s destinations in England from 1980 to 2010.

Overall, the trends of art gallery, pavilion and festival were similar in
terms of decreasing. In contrast, there was a notable exception of pier,
which had a general increase.

In the year 1980, the percentage of people who visited pier started at the
lowest point at 10%. After a minor fluctuation between 1980 and 1990,
Brighton witnessed a continual growth to about 22% in 2010 in its trend.

From 1980 to 1985, both rates of people going sight-seeing art gallery and
pavilion went up, from approximately 25% to nearly 36% and 28%
respectively. However, throughout the remainder of the period, the figure
for art gallery’s visitors declined dramatically to about 8% in 2010,
whereas the line of pavilion’s tourists hit the peak in the whole graph at
nearly 50%. Nevertheless, there was a rapid drop to 30% in 2010 in this
line, but it still took the highest place in comparison with the others. By
contrast, after experiencing a slight fall from 30% to 25% between 1980 and
1995, the figure for people visiting festival remained stable at 28% until
2010.
