Some people think that governments should ban dangerous sports, while others think people should have freedom to do any sports or activity. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It is argued that extreme sports should be prohibited due to its potentially dangerous. While some person says that they have the freedom to play many kinds of sports as they like. I would argue that there are more disadvantages than advantages when people enjoy adventure sports and they should not be banned.
On the one hand, some people like to play sports that they want for various reasons. Firstly, extreme sports provide people with new experiences and give them a sense of achievement. For example, participating in the outdoor activities sports such as kite-surfing, sky driving, or mountaineering help us get in touch with nature and escape from everyday routine after a long busy week. Secondly, many people consider dangerous sports as a part of an intensive workout which can help them burn calories and lose weight instead of going to the gyms. For instance, skate boarding can burn up to 500 calories for an hour while also improving your balance, flexibility, endurance and muscle strength.
On the other hand, I believe that there are serious drawbacks which outweigh the benefits. The first reason is that these sports are as if putting people’s lives in unnecessary danger just for recreational purposes and even may cause life-threatening injuries. For example, car racing is an example typically of extreme sports which put racers into high risk to beat other participants to win the race. Besides, many people consider taking up extreme sports as an alternative form of exercise, we do not always realize the danger of having serious injury. Especially this happens when people do not use essential sports gear which in critical situations can save their lives. Finally, not everyone thinks of the fact that this equipment will cost a lot of money.
In conclusion, although extreme sports are advantageous to some extent, it seems to me that it is better to give awareness of danger to those who are fond of the risky sports to reduce the possibility of accidents.
